In response to concerns about bot commenters, offensive comments, and more, Instagram has just announced that they’ve made the new “pinned comments” feature live app-wide. It had previously been in testing, in May & June 2020. Let us just say…. WOOHOO!
Today we’re rolling out pinned comments everywhere. ?

How To Pin Comments On Instagram:
- Swipe left on a comment.
- Tap the new pushpin icon that appears next to the existing options to report, delete, or reply to the comment.
- That’s it! Seriously!
This is a great way to append additional information to an Instagram caption that would have made the caption too lengthy, add giveaway rules/restrictions, start discussions, and more. Of course, we’re still waiting ahem for the chronological feed option, but for now? This is gonna make it a lot easier for creators to manage conversations with followers!
Instagram also rolled out a bulk deletion tool to let creators to delete up to 25 comments at a time and bulk-block accounts, as well. Managing the bullies, bots, and scammers on your comments just got a LOT faster.
