How long have you been using MagicLinks? For about seven months.
What does authentic communication with your subscribers mean to you? I believe that authentic communication creates trust and a more personal relationship. It connects you to the people that support you in a honest and close way.
Have you ever struggled to stay authentic on a particular topic, or with a particular promotional or vlogging partner? Absolutely – especially with brands. Some brands will require certain keywords or phrases, and I include fractions of them, but I make it my own. I won’t ever do brand deals that are super artificial – only for products that I am passionate and honest about, and that I know my viewers will enjoy learning about.
How and why did you decide to start your channel? I started my channel in August 2013 because I wanted to share my passions for many different things, but many beauty, fashion and lifestyle, with the world. I wanted to inspire people and make people smile, just like the creators that I had watched.
What is the most difficult challenge you’ve faced as you’ve grown your audience? I think that as my audience is expanding, I really want to do more to make a difference in their lives, and in turn, the world. While learning to do fall makeup and winter outfit ideas is great and can be a resource, I feel as though with my platform I have a much larger responsibility to do something good for the world.
What inspires you? The small, but impactful moments that I experience while traveling/ experiencing nature, or with friends and family. It is the everyday small things that change you and can inspire you to create or do something amazing.
What are your favorite topics to vlog about? Travel and advice – Exploring and traveling is my number one passion, and I love to help people, no matter how different their problems or issues are from mine.
What causes do you care most about, and how are you involved in them? I care about the preservation and conservation of the environment, and supporting the Alzheimer’s Association. Global warming and climate change will impact my future, as well as the genetic recurrence of Alzheimer’s in my family, specifically my grandfather. I hope to be volunteering at my local Land Trust to preserve the natural spaces we have in my town, and I also am a part of a chapter of Alzheimer’s Youth Alliance.
